頭には肉瘤があり、背鰭がなく、尾は短い。体色は、赤や更紗（赤と白）など。金魚の王様とも言われる人気の高い金魚。桜錦はランチュウと同じ体型で体色がモザイク透明鱗。
Ranchu
The highly popular Ranchu is often called the "King of Goldfish" in Japan. Its key characteristics are the prominent wen (head growth), the absence of a dorsal fin, and a short tail. Common colors include solid red and the Sarasa pattern (red and white).
Sakura Nishiki
The Sakura Nishiki shares the exact body shape and dorsal-less back of the Ranchu. It is distinct for its beautiful nacreous/calico scales, which give its body a unique translucent, dappled coloring.
